Lambda Log Of course, there are also a great deal of challenges with Holly's job. "One of the most challenging aspects is criminal sentencing," Holly stated. "Sentencing is difficult because most sentences deprive an individual of his or her liberty for a period of time and also create a series of collateral consequences for that individual and his or her family." Aside from her professional achievements, Holly has been married to her husband, Derek, since 2006. He is a practicing attorney in Kansas City. Holly and Derek have three boys, ages 7, 5, and 3, and a boxer dog named Frances. As the mother of boys, Holly spends her weekends searching for frogs, building forts, playing tag, and talking about the nuanced origins of Marvel superheroes. You can connect with Holly at ksd_teeter_chambers@ksd.uscourts.gov. Lambda Alumnae A s a 2018 graduate from the University of Kansas, Jenny O'Grady '15 is just beginning her career. Yet, just a year out of college and she has already found her dream job. Jenny works at Populous, an international sports architecture firm based in Kansas City, Mo. Populous designs places people love to be together from sports stadiums and concert arenas to airports and convention centers. While Populous works on projects around the world, you can see some of their work close to home at Kauffman Stadium, the Sprint Center, or Arrowhead Stadium. "Professionally, I am most proud of my leap from traditional graphic design into the world of architecture. I essentially switched industries and now I can honestly say that this is my dream job and I love going into work every day," Jenny said. Utilizing her visual communication degree, Jenny focuses on experiential brand design to create immersive spaces for Populous projects. This can mean everything from typical graphic walls and signage to locker rooms, trophy displays, lighting design, recruitment paths, fan experiences, sponsored club spaces. As a young professional, Jenny continues to look for areas to grow. Attending sporting events is great research for her work, as well as staying involved in the graphic design community. She is on the Nelson- Atkins Young Friends of Art 'Party Arty' planning committee and on the local board of directors for AIGA Kansas City. Jenny derives inspiration, in part, from her sister Erin O'Grady Boswell '10. "She is the greatest person I know, my best friend, and my biggest role model." Jenny admires her sister's accomplishments as a clinical pharmacy resident but, most of all, how Erin maintains excellent relationships with friends and family. "I don't know how she does it all!" Jenny said. Jenny loves her job and looks forward to an exciting career, but her tight-knit relationship with her family is something she is most proud of. Besides seeing her family almost every Sunday, Jenny fills her time trying new recipes in the kitchen and visiting the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art any chance she gets. You can reach Jenny at jennyannogrady@gmail.com. HER CHI O EXPERIENCE Why did you join Chi Omega?
