RUSH GARNERS IMPRESSIVE 2019 NEW MEMBER CLASS During this rush cycle, we focused our sights on signing the highest-quality men coming to UT. As a result, we faced competition from the top fraternities which we haven't recruited against in several years. In order to avoid imitating the recruitment habits of these fraternities, we had three non-negotiable characteristics that a potential new member must demonstrate to receive a bid: high moral character, high achievement, and ability to pay dues. This strategy, coupled with relentless efforts from the rush team this summer, has produced a new member class that every Texas Alpha brother can be proud of. The 2019 new member class is the sharpest class of any fraternity at UT. Along with being high- achieving men with incredible moral character, this new member class brings social connections from top high schools that we haven't recruited from in recent years. On behalf of the rush team and the active chapter, I am proud to introduce the Texas Alpha Eta class. I am certain that this group of men will not only further advance our chapter's standing during their four years at UT, but will also bring honor to Phi Psi and Texas Alpha for a lifetime. I would also like to extend a huge thank-you to all of the alumni that helped us through this process. We could not have signed a group of such high quality without your presence at events, hosting office tours, coaching the rush team, donations and countless other contributions. We are extremely thankful for the involvement and generosity of our alumni.
