TEXAS ALPHA BIGGER AND BETTER THAN EVER That's right, it's true everything is bigger in Texas, but this time it's even more applicable. I can without reservation say that for the first time in the 115-year history of Texas Alpha that this is the LARGEST the undergraduate chapter has ever been. This is a true testament to the hard work, dedication, perseverance and, of course, vision of undergraduates and alumni together. Looking back on the history of Texas Alpha, the closest the chapter was to this size was during the 2006-07 academic year with 158 members. Today, we have 164 members, and we aren't done yet! As I've shared in my previous communications, Texas Alpha is on the road to greatness. With our strategic plan in place we will continue on our path toward being a competitive top-tier fraternity at the University of Texas. In addition to the successful recruitment efforts, our fraternity education and new member process is one that every student, alumnus, and parent would be proud of. Our men work to teach the rich history of Phi Kappa Psi Texas Alpha and instill the morals, values, and expectations that fall in line with our Creed and what we stand for as a brotherhood. I am excited and hopeful for what the future brings for this chapter. I strongly encourage you to stop by a tailgate, tour the house, make plans to join us for Founders Day 2020, or even just pop in on a whim; you won't be disappointed. TEXAS ALPHA | PHI KAPPA PSI | | FALL 2019 With the leadership and rallying of Rhett Stone '65 and Robert Johnson '64, a group of Texas Alpha brothers from the 1960s has agreed to match all contributions to the 20/20 Vision Annual Campaign up to $50,000 between now and November 30, 2019. What better time to heed the call and opportunity to contribute to a worthwhile cause and see every dollar maximized. With every dollar given going toward educational scholarships, one-on-one development, educational programming, personal and professional development, increased safety measures and facility standards, Phi Kappa Psi Texas Alpha is poised to be around for another 115 years! There is still $30,000 left to put toward the match. Use the enclosed envelope to return your gift or pledge today! Or give online at www.phipsitexas.com. DOUBLE YOUR IMPACT TO 20/20
