A 1990s alumna stated, "There's a sense of continued competition, and you have to keep up or numbers will drop and you'll lose quality women and top-tier status. I don't want Delta Xi to fall into that slot." A 1980s alumna commented, "Women with daughters who have lived in the house recently or are living in the house will be most likely to give." Alumnae cited improved communication to alumnae when legacies do not receive a bid, needing to engage women through in-person events and additional volunteer support, and this project being too recent to the last campaign as reasons why alumnae might not support this capital campaign. A 1950s alumna noted, "I gave generously the last time, and we have done all we could." A 2000s alumna stated, "Alumnae are not in the habit of giving. If they gave last time, this project may feel too soon." A 1980s alumna said, "We need to reengage women. They've been happy to be left alone. Legacies have been cut and it's only been five years since the last effort." Two alumnae from the 1990s stated, "Many women haven't been back to the house," and "This will be hard. We need to encourage women so they feel more connected to the project." Yes 42% No 5% Maybe 53% Chart D: Will Other Delta Xi Chapter Alumnae Support a Fundraising Campaign? Response Rate = 93.9%
