If your daughter is still attending the University of Missouri, she will receive a copy at the chapter house. If she has graduated, please mail us her new address to help update our records. Thank you. Notes from MIZ KΔ explained. "I spend a lot of time thinking about how actions Congress might or might not take could affect our business, which, in turn, impacts customers, shareholders, and employees." Throughout Ali's career, she has met numerous other Kappa Deltas. While Ali didn't realize it at the time, she was working with another Epsilon Iota sister, Meghan Sanguinette Schmidtlein '08, who had graduated a few years after her. "She has since become a great friend and it's been fun exchanging stories with her as women involved in politics, which is a lonely place to be sometimes. I feel like she's my biggest cheerleader, and I know I'm hers!" Ali also credits her time as a ΚΔ to opening her up to unexpected paths. "I always thought I'd go to law school but ended up getting my MBA after working at a Fortune 500 company and realizing I loved the fast-pace nature of the business environment. That was an unexpected but fun change for someone who never showed any passion for business besides a short stint as sorority treasurer and a failed attempt at setting up a magazine store as a kid!" Ali and her husband, Jesse, met in Washington, D.C., and are both political enthusiasts who hail from Missouri. They are proud parents of their 2-year-old son, Bennett. A few of Ali's hobbies include golfing, reading biographies, and serving on a board for the St. Louis Symphony. Ali recently moved to St. Louis after living for eight years in Washington, D.C. She is excited about the opportunity to reconnect with Epsilon Iota and her sisters. "I formed some of my closest friends from ΚΔ," Ali shared. "They were in my wedding, and I was in theirs." You can connect with Ali at alyson.gabel@ gmail.com. Mark Your Calendars!
