NOTES FROM MIZ KΔ PAGE 3 EPSILON IOTA RECEIVES TOP MARKS AT CONVENTION T his last quarter, Epsilon Iota was extremely busy. We welcomed 10 amazing young women into our sisterhood this spring. Our focus remains on promoting our social success on campus, engaging with other Greek chapters in our community, and improving our alumnae relationships. ACHIEVING ACADEMIC GOALS Epsilon Iota is pleased to report our fall 2018 semester GPA was a 3.45. Out of the 20 sororities on campus, Kappa Delta placed seventh overall in GPA rank. Vice President of Operations Katie Wiant '17 has begun new incentive programs and created scholar groups to improve our chapter's academic success. OVER $58,000 FUNDRAISED FOR LOCAL ORGANZIATIONS During our Shamrock Week philanthropy event, we raised over $58,000 for Prevent Child Abuse in America and Rainbow House in Columbia. In addition to fundraising, every week four members go to Rainbow House to prepare, cook, and eat with the kids living there and assist the administrators with bringing positivity to the kids. EPSILON IOTA PLACES SECOND IN GREEK WEEK 2019 In April, Kappa Delta was paired with the men of Tau Kappa Epsilon and Sigma Phi Delta to compete in the 2019 Greek Week. Our members donated blood to the MU Women and Children's Hospital, volunteered at the Boys and Girls Club of Columbia, and donated more than 8,000 cans to the Columbia Food Bank. We are proud to announce our pairing placed first in the service category and second overall. To top off the semester, Epsilon Iota was awarded Mizzou Panhellenic Association's Outstanding Chapter of the Year award for the second year in a row and we could not be more proud.
