A 1970s alumnae said, "We were a great group of girls with a spirit of inclusiveness. We had the first minority women win Homecoming Queen in campus history." Alumnae also shared that Pi Phi women were active on campus and were strong leaders. A 1990s alumna said, "When I was in the chapter, we had the Panhellenic president, athletes, yearbook staff workers, and leaders all over campus." When asked about the weaknesses of the chapter, the majority of alumnae had little to share. If alumnae mentioned a weakness, they typically mentioned the chapter house and how it compared to the others throughout the years. Many alumnae believe the house hindered the chapter's recruitment efforts since its founding. A 1990s alumna said, "The house really hurt us during rush because it did not have the classic Southern look like the other chapter houses." A 2000s alumnae said, "Because the house didn't compare to the others, we missed out on women joining our chapter."
