CHAPTER ETERNAL
David Shadday '75 entered Chapter Eternal
on July 4, 2018. He earned a business degree
from OSU and went on to become vice
president and co-owner of W.M. Heitgras
Company. David made friends everywhere
and made a spaghetti sauce his mother could be
proud of. David was kind and compassionate
to family, friends, and strangers alike.
ALUMNI NEWS
Joe Allen '50 is still kicking as he approaches
his 90th birthday in December 2019. Four of
his five children live within 30 miles of him
so he enjoys them and the grandkids. Joe
does quite a bit of fishing around Pawhuska,
Southern Kansas, and Canada. He still hunts
quail locally and pheasant in South Dakota,
and is active in his church, on local school
boards, city council, and the local hospital.
James Spangler '50 celebrated his 90th
birthday in September. He continues living
in an independent living facility in Seminole,
Fla. He keeps busy and has two grandchildren
attending Vanderbilt.
Ed Wiley '55 shares, "Our son, Chris Wiley
'88, took over our ranch operation and we
moved to Arizona to golf and travel. My
wife, Janet, and I recently celebrated 63 years
together and now live in independent living

Henry C. Townsend '58 has three
grandchildren: Cody Partin, Alyssa Webb,
and Nicholas Webb. He lives in Huffman,
Texas, and retired from being an architect in

S. Brent Howard '58 shares, "I own and
manage Howard Classic Boats, Howard
Haven Longhorn Ranch, and Howard Haven
Farm. I am also developing a regional

Robert Hope '61 shares, "My son, Dr.
R.C. Hope '91, is a Sigma Chi alumnus

construction business in 2016 but still
maintains contractor licenses in six states.

Rick Rosser '75 shares, "I am still going to
OSU games and get to see a lot of brothers
there. My kids are all good. Our oldest
grandchild is a freshman at OSU. I still have
a roofing company, but I'm slowing down."

anniversary with his wife, Miranda, this

Brian Scott '89 shares, "My wife, Judy, and
I were married in 2016 at a beach wedding.
Brother Jim Arnove '89 officiated it while
Scott Reeves '90 and Brent Wright '89 were
