Our Scholarship Fund founding brothers, Randy White '63, John Clerico '63, Joe Porter '64, Jay Helm '70, Jimmy Kuykendall '87, and Gregg Massey '87, have each pledged an additional $100,000 to make our $400,000 challenge grant possi- ble. Each new gift is matched by the founders $1.5:$1. We are well on our way to reaching our goal to add $1,000,000 of new gifts to our scholarship endowment. The founding brothers have asked us to continue our fundraising efforts through December 31, 2019, and have extended the matching time accordingly. Thanks to the many of you who have responded to this challenge with one-time, multiyear, cor- porate matching, and legacy gifts. In April, our Gamma Delta Scholarship Com- mittee, under the leadership of Brother Bill Armstrong '63, will complete the review of 22 applications from undergraduate brothers for the 2019-20 academic year award cycle. This past year we awarded a total of $29,120 in 19 schol- arships to 17 brothers. The awards for the com- ing academic year will total at least $33,000. We need your tax-deductible donation to reach our $1M goal.
