5 of Epsilon and how they set themselves apart from the rest, but I will let the numbers do the talking. At the Top Arguably the most prolific accomplishment was acquiring our seventh- straight Top TKE Chapter Award, Epsilon's 25th total. This was no easy feat. For those of you that are unaware, Top TKE Awards are largely based on individual chapter improvement. Of course, you must compare positively in relation to other TKE chapters. But, a top TKE chapter exhibits excellent improvement from the previous years. Epsilon Chapter is back in the top five for GPA in Iowa State's Interfraternity Council. Our men performed magnificently in the classroom and earned a 3.23 cumulative chapter GPA. Our new members improved their class GPA an entire point from the fall semester, and our junior and senior classes earned a 3.41 and 3.46 GPA, respectively. Giving to Others Our men continued the legacy that was provided to us by our alumni. Epsilon made it to finals in the Iowa State Varieties show, raised over $25,000 for Special Olympics Iowa, raised over $8,000 in our annual Mac- Attack philanthropy event, provided men with $55,000 in scholarships, and we were recognized by the Interfraternity Council for excellence in social justice and collaboration. Those accomplishments are noteworthy, but they are successes that we have seen before. Epsilon stood out in the spring by setting the standard for fraternities around the world. Our undergraduate Chapter pledged $115,000 to the Securing Epsilon's Legacy campaign, proving to alumni that we will join them in supporting the future of the Chapter. Epsilon had 94% member participation in our first-ever Meals from the Heartland service event. The one-of-a-kind event included 13 guests as well. Epsilon was awarded with second place in Greek Week, marking three straight second-place finishes in all-Greek competitions. Commitment to Collaboration The statement that was heard around the community, though, was our collaboration with a Multicultural Greek Council organization. Epsilon Chapter collaborated with Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority Inc., on their philanthropy event, Acts for St. Jude. Never before has an Interfraternity Council chapter collaborated with a multicultural chapter in such a way. This gesture and effort proved to the community around us that our men will work with everyone to make the biggest impact on those around us. Love of Fraternity This fall and continuing into 2019, the men of Epsilon Chapter will find ways to push the standard and represent our Chapter positively. We plan to utilize our momentum and further separate ourselves as the best fraternity chapter in the world. It is with great honor and excitement that I am able to call the men of Epsilon my brothers. These men have made an abiding impact on lives around them and have most certainly made an eternal impression on mine. I truly love the fraternity.
