F raters, with this fall issue of the Chimes we want to share some answers to the questions we've most commonly heard since announcing the Securing Epsilon's Legacy campaign in January. The campaign's success depends on you, us, and all Fraters, and we want to ensure everyone feels informed. Below is an update to those FAQs and how you can support this worthy and important project. Q: How much has been raised so far? A: We have raised $3,604,522 in cash and pledges thanks to the generosity of the 117 early donors. Our goal is to raise $4.5 million, which will fund both the facility renovation and expansion and the doubling of the Kratochvil Scholarship Endowment. Q: Are the undergraduate members involved? A: Yes! The undergraduate Chapter has shown their commitment with their own pledge of $115,000. Q: How can I donate? A: Use the enclosed pledge form or go to the online giving form at https://tinyurl.com/EpsilonTKEOnlineGiving. Q: Can I spread my payments over time? A: Yes, you have the option of spreading your total gift over five years at intervals that work best for you. Please note that the online giving form will require a first payment the day of submission but future payments can be scheduled as desired. Q: Is my donation tax deductible? A: While a portion of the campaign goal is reserved for donations of $25,000 or more to the tax-deductible fund, our current focus rests with the more than $1 million still needed toward the Epsilon Chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon corporation account. Your non-tax-deductible donation will support the much-needed renovation and expansion of 224 Ash Avenue. Q: When will construction begin? A: We are establishing the construction timeline and look forward to putting your generous donations to work. We appreciate your patience as we work with Accord Architecture to find the best, most fiscally responsible approach. Now is the time to show your support! We need 224 Ash Avenue to grow with our thriving membership and remain competitive when compared to university housing options. We will be triumphant with your help! The season brought accolades and successes that I have never seen before from a fraternity chapter. Now, I may be biased, but the men I have the honor of leading are some of the best in the world. Last spring, we made a statement to both the Iowa State and TKE communities that we belong at the top and we are here to stay.
