Kappa Delta's Collegiate Achievements
T
he women of Alpha Mu Chapter continue to excel on campus, in the Greek community, and within Kappa Delta nationally. Kappa Delta remains
a top chapter at the University of Mississippi.
Did You Know...
CHAPTER ACCOMPLISHMENTS
• Spring 2018 all-chapter GPA: 3.45 (ranked #1 of 11 sororities)
• Fall 2017 all-chapter GPA: 3.38 (ranked #3 of 11 sororities)
• Alpha Mu raised over $52,400 for The Oxford Exchange Club Family
Center and Prevent Child Abuse America at their annual philanthropy
event, ShamRock & Roll.
CAMPUS INVOLVEMENT
• Kappa Delta has held the title of Ole Miss Homecoming Queen for
both 2017 and 2018. Christina Lawler represented Ole Miss as 2017
Homecoming Queen and the newly elected Queen is Hallie Gillam.
• The Kappa Delta RebelTHON team raised over $24,500 in 12 hours
for Blair E. Batson Children's Hospital.
• A Kappa Delta was crowned Miss Mississippi USA 2018.
• Kappa Delta was awarded first place in three different fraternity/
sorority philanthropy events.
KAPPA DELTA NATIONAL AWARDS
• Alpha Mu has received the Merit Chapter at Kappa Delta's biennial
Convention each year since 2013.
• The chapter received the Academic Excellence Award at Kappa
Delta's 2017 Convention.
• Two recipients of the Corre Anding Stegall Leadership Award are
from Alpha Mu Chapter. The "Corre Award" is Kappa Delta's highest
individual collegiate honor.
• A recent graduate is currently serving as a Leadership Development
Consultant for Kappa Delta.
Increased chapter size provides ample leadership opportunities for members. Officers learn how to operate what likens to a mid-size company,
managing a large budget, overseeing various leadership teams, and motivating their peers. Additional leadership positions are available for other
sisters as well. From sisterhood chairman to Girl Scout committee, more sisters have the opportunity to lead and give back than ever before.
