KAPPA DELTA AT THE UNIVERSITY OF MISSISSIPPI

Our Proud History
S
ince our founding in 1927, Kappa Delta has been at the heart of Greek
life at the University of Mississippi. With nearly 4,000 initiates,
Alpha Mu Chapter has nurtured and sustained women during some of the
most formative years of their lives, cultivating lasting friendships in the
process. As alumnae, we can trace many of our best college memories back
to our Kappa Delta experience.
While there may be some differences in today's chapter compared to the
one you knew, there is an unbroken chain of Kappa Delta members at Ole
Miss. More than ever, sororities play a significant role in the development
of young women and this growth is crucial in today's competitive world.
In addition to the standards taught by our sisterhood, we acquired valuable
assets, which include leadership skills, organizational skills, social skills,
teamwork, and character. Oftentimes, these traits have been integral to our
personal success and helped make us the women we are today.
Our chapter house at 204 Sorority Circle is clearly the focus of undergraduate
life for Kappa Delta. It has been a home away from home for hundreds of
young women and a classroom where our sisters have learned to spread
confidence and to lead on the Ole Miss campus, in our communities, and
in their own professional lives. However, if we wish for Kappa Delta to
continue its strong presence at the University of Mississippi, we must
ensure that we are providing a safe, modern, and competitive facility. Now
is the appropriate time to secure our future.
