F CUS On City Offers Stormwater Fee Incentive Program Commercial, Industrial and Multifamily Property Owners May Be Eligible For Credit Commercial, industrial and multifamily property owners in Fayetteville may be credited a portion ortion of their City stormwater fee if they manage their stormwater runoff through onsite water quality or quantity structural Best Management Practices. Some owners may be eligible to receive as much as an 80 percent fee credit if they meet one, two or all of three requirements. s. Requirements include: +DYLQJ DQ RQVLWH VWRUPZDWHU GHWHQWLRQ RU UHWHQWLRQ SRQG WKDW UHGXFHV WKH TXDQWLW\ RI VWRUPZDWHU UXQRII from the property that is designed and maintained according to the standards of the City of Fayetteville's Stormwater Control Ordinance Former Mayor Beth Finch Passes Away The only female mayor in the history of Fayetteville passed away Dec. 26. Former Mayor Finch was 91. ,Q )LQFK ZDV HOHFWHG WKH ¿UVW ZRPDQ PD\RU RI Fayetteville, serving from 1975 to 1981. Among her many accomplishments as mayor, she strengthened ties with Fort Bragg and Pope Air Force Base. In 1971, Finch was elected to the Fayetteville City Council and in her second term was elected mayor pro tem. She served on City Council from 1971 to 1975. 5HSUHVHQWDWLYHV IURP WKH &LW\¶V SROLFH DQG ¿UH departments served as pallbearers at Finch's funeral. $ &LW\ ÀDJ FRYHUHG WKH FDVNHW DQG D &LW\ 5HVROXWLRQ of Respect was on display at the funeral home. Industrial property owners can get up to an 80 percent credit by complying with all three requirements. Commercial and multifamily property owners can receive as much as a 60 percent credit on their stormwater fees. In order to receive the fee credit, owners must apply for the incentive by April 15 and have a completed, functioning stormwater facility. The facility will be inspected by the City to ensure it meets regulations. )DFLOLWLHV PXVW EH GHVLJQHG DQG FHUWL¿HG E\ D SURIHVVLRQDO HQJLQHHU OLFHQVHG LQ 1& 7R HQVXUH WKDW WKH engineer is licensed, owners can log onto www.ncbels.org and go to license lookup. 8SRQ DSSURYDO RI WKH VWRUPZDWHU IDFLOLW\ DQG DSSOLFDWLRQ WKH FUHGLW ZLOO EH UHÀHFWHG LQ WKH DQQXDO ELOOLQJ RI the stormwater fee in August.
