Nebraska Gamma Theta of Alpha Tau Omega P.O. Box 22157 Lincoln, NE 68542 Address Service Requested Stay Connected f l www.ATOnebraska.org Alpha Tau Omega at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln @ATONebraska In 1985, he joined Jim Pittenger at Dean Wit- ter, where he was soon promoted to senior vice president while working on his financial planner certification. Their partnership continued when they started their business, Pittenger & Anderson Inc., where Dan serves as president and chief fi- nancial officer. One of Dan's main motivations to give back to Gamma Theta was the great experiences and op- portunities that were presented to both him and his sons. "The networking opportunities that ex- ist within the Greek system are unbelievable," Dan said. "You develop friendships and relation- ships with people that have a profound effect on your life." He has stayed in touch with a number of brothers and regularly has dinner with a few brothers and their wives. Dan believes the con- nections and experiences brothers have at 1433 R Street are a good motivation for alumni to find their own personal reason to give back to the chapter if they are able. Dan lives in Lincoln with his wife of 44 years, Sue, who was president of Delta Gamma be- tween 1972 and 1973 at UNL's Kappa Chapter. They have two sons: Reed Anderson '98, who served as chapter president of Gamma Theta be- tween 2000 and 2001; and Blake Anderson '00, who was a recipient of the Thomas Arkle Clark Award during his time in the chapter. In his spare time, Dan enjoys being with this grandchildren, hunting, fishing, and golfing. His love of farming has also become more than a hobby in recent years as he purchased a hydraulic tracked excavator that helps him make ponds and wildlife habitats.
