3 Alpha Tau Omega www.atonebraska.org T his spring, we are proud to have added four new members to Alpha Tau Omega. Our new recruitment chairmen, Austin Craft '17, Kipp Hergenrader '17, and Teddy Murphy '17, did a fantastic job recruiting our new mem- bers throughout the process of spring recruit- ment. With the addition of four new members this spring, our freshman class now totals 35. This is a solid increase in members from past years, and we hope to continue recruiting quality pledge classes in the future. Committed to the ATΩ Way One of our main goals this semester was to con- tinue implementing our True Merit values as we prepare our freshmen to end the year strong and send off our graduating seniors with a great final semester at UNL. It is important to continue to instill and teach leadership qualities that not only affect our campus in a positive manner, but also better prepare our members for the workforce af- ter school. It is important for us to end the year strong as we continue to strive for True Merit and for the betterment of the Gamma Theta Chapter. Giving Back The spring has been a great opportunity for the chapter to give back to the community. In Febru- ary, members volunteered to help run the Miss Amazing Pageant in Omaha, Neb. Miss Amaz- ing is a great organization that holds a beauty pageant for young women with disabilities, and we were more than willing to help run such an uplifting event. We also held our annual Tau Tee Off philanthropic event in April, where we raised more than $1,600 for the Team Jack Foundation! In addition to these events, the men of Alpha Tau Omega have volunteered more than 100 hours this semester, helping at orga- nizations such as the Special Olympics, Boys and Girls Club, and the Husker Food Pantry. A Strong Gamma Theta I thank our loyal alumni, as well as our Board of Trustees, for their hard work and dedication to our chapter. Your continued support is greatly appreciated as we work to preserve the great chapter of Gamma Theta. We invite you to stop by the chapter house if you ever find yourself in Lincoln to meet our outstanding members.
