Komen Ozark Race for the Cure will be held at the Pinnacle Hills Promenade, in Rogers, on Saturday, April 28. The starting line will be on Bellview Road with the race finish line by JCPenney. Ways to register • Register online at komenozark.org • Register on-site at the following locations and times: 2203 S. Promenade Blvd., Suite 5165 Hours: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 1 to 5 p.m., Sundays. Open until 8 p.m., April 23-27. Northwest Arkansas Mall in Fayetteville (Registration for individual, non-timed events only) 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., April 21. • Registration tent opens at 6 a.m., on race day. • Individual packets may be picked up at either registration office. Team race packets and individual packets for the timed events may only be picked up at the Pinnacle Hills Promenade Registration Office. Directions Participants are encouraged to review primary and alternative routes, carpool and arrive early. Lane closures on the race course begin at 7 a.m. and this will slow traffic into the venue. Primary Routes Traveling north on I-49, take exit 82 and turn right off next exit. Proceed to the Pinnacle Hills Promenade Mall and turn left on Promenade Boulevard. Traveling south on I-49, take exit 83 and turn left off the exit, then turn left on New Hope Road. Turn right on Promenade Boulevard. Alternate Routes Traveling north on I-49, take exit 81 and turn right off the exit. Continue on Pleasant Grove Road and then turn left on Dixieland Road. Turn left on New Hope Road, then turn left on Bellview Road. Traveling south on I-49, take exit 85 and turn left off the exit. Continue on Walnut Street and then turn right on Dixieland Road. Turn right on New Hope Road, then turn left on Promenade Boulevard. Safety For the safety of all participants, rollerblades and pets not registered for Paws for the Cure are discouraged from participating in this event. Thank you for your cooperation. Race Day schedule • 6:30-8:45 a.m. — Drop in Survivor Breakfast (Suite 5165) • 7:30 a.m. — 10K start • 7:45 a.m. — Opening Ceremonies (between Malco and start line at Belleview Road) • 8 a.m. — Competitive 5K run • 8 a.m. — Paws for the Cure (strip mall by DSW) • 8:05 a.m. — Survivor Parade • 8:30 a.m. — Non-timed 5K Run/Walk • 9 a.m. — 1 Mile Fun Walk • 9:30 a.m. — Awards Presentations 5K and 10K Timed Races Join participants at 7:30 a.m. for the 10K course and at 8 a.m. for the 5K course, both timed courses sponsored by Highlands Oncology Group. These courses are certified by USATF and each participant will be timed and receive a commemorative medal. Awards will be given to the top three place survivors, male and female participants. If participating in the 5K or 10K timed races, be sure to add "chip timing" when registering. 5K Non-timed Race This non-timed 5K event begins at 8:30 a.m. and features the same 5K course as the competitive run. This run is sponsored by Kimberly Clark. Fun Walk Not up for the full 5K? Join participants in the Fun Walk 1K course through Pinnacle Hills Promenade Mall. Bring the whole family and enjoy a more leisurely pace while continuing to make an impact against breast cancer. Paws for the Cure (formerly Bark for the Cure) Bring your dog to DSW at the strip mall behind Pinnacle Hills Promenade for the Komen Ozark Paws for the Cure, sponsored by Nestlé Purina. Beginning at 8 a.m., walk your best friend through the 1K route with a water stop at the end.
