Thanks to the generosity of 121 brothers, we
are extremely pleased to declare the First to
Build campaign for Delta Chi at Embry-Riddle an
overwhelming success! A total of $747,137 has been
pledged (125% of our $600,000 goal).
Because of the hard work of many brothers, the
years of planning, the setbacks, false starts and dead
ends, the weekly campaign conference calls, and the
brothers who heard our plea and ran to help, Delta
Chi Embry-Riddle was able to open our own $2.5
million, 9,000-square-foot house on campus at Embry-
Riddle Aeronautical University.
To mark this achievement, Delta Chi brothers
reunited on Founders Weekend October 14, 2017,
to not only celebrate the 50th anniversary of our
founding on campus in 1967, but to dedicate the new
house located on 1615 Woodcrest Drive, Daytona
Beach, FL 32114.
The new house can host 21 members and one
house director in 12 furnished bedrooms and features
a community kitchen, private courtyard, open-air
balcony, and a large chapter room for relaxing, social
events, and meetings.
While the home is accommodating and inviting,
more importantly, it gives Delta Chi a place to forge
new bonds, Chapter President Mitchell Licht '18 said.
"We are all more than friends, we're brothers and
we'll be brothers for life," he said. "You get to live
with essentially 21 of your best friends. These are the
people that are going to be there for you the rest of
your life."
Thank you to all of our brothers for your
encouragement and support over the years, and in
particular, throughout our campaign. Today, more
than ever, we are convinced there is nothing we
cannot achieve together.
