4 OKLAHOMA ALPHA
Alpha Artery
T
he 2017-18 academic period has marked
another successful year for the men of the
Oklahoma Alpha Chapter of Sigma Phi Epsi-
lon. Our members have continued the momen-
tum from last summer by recording a litany of
accomplishments. In a nod to their recruiting
prowess, one of our new members earned Out-
standing IFC New Member of the Year award.
They also had two members land in the finals of
IFC's Greek Member of the Year award. A con-
cern this fall was how the men would participate
in Homecoming with the lack of a chapter house.
Despite this, the men were able to win the Greek
Homecoming float as well as the harvest carnival
portions of Homecoming. Continuing SigEp's
tradition of being well rounded, they received
first place honors in the annual Spring Sing
show. During Freshman Follies they received the
Most Entertaining and Viewer's Choice awards.
With more than 120 men on our roles for this
academic year, the potential of the chapter is as
high as it has ever been. The men are looking
forward to Greek Discovery Day and another
successful recruitment season. If the last year is
any indication, we will be filling the brand-new
chapter house with another great group of bal-
anced men.
