Regent Renee Bost from the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), presented the award along with a visit from Group One Commander Major Fitzpatrick, Group One Safety Offi cer Captain Logel, and the cadets family attending for this special oc- casion. C/CM Sgt. Anna Aldinger earned this award for demonstrating leadership, citizenship, hard work, and dedication in organizing a Wreaths Across America Program, which would have not otherwise taken place due to multiple fac- tors. The program included a ceremony hon- oring all branches of the military and with her fellow cadets, laid over 35 wreaths at soldiers' grave sites located at the Sunset Cemetery in Shelby, NC. Cadet Aldinger is currently a high school student and in fl ight training with the Civil Air Patrol. When asked how she managed to or- ganize and put together the program on such short notice, Cadet Aldinger said it was God who did the work, she just helped. The Civil Air Patrol is an auxiliary of the Unit- ed States Air Force for youth ages 12-18 and adult volunteers.
