Did you know that according to ACTE, students who complete a Career and Technical Education pathway are more
likely to graduate from high school in four years? They are also more likely to continue their education or pursue a
career after high school! The mission of Career and Technical Education is to help empower students for effective
participation in a global economy as world-class workers and citizens. The Cumberland County Schools Career
and Technical Education program offers fourteen pathways, eleven career academies, seven Career and Technical
Student Organizations, and work-based learning opportunities to include career shadowing and internships.
