7 Chi Zetagram T his school year is an exciting time for Lambda Chi Alpha. is marks the beginning of the next one hundred years in our brand-new chapter house. To see the excitement brew over the past year as our new home was being built and then talk to the active members as they moved in was a fantastic experience. We truly have the most proud brothers on campus. However, none of this would be possible if it wasn't for our fantastic alumni support. I would like to sincerely thank every single alumni member that donated their time and money to support the advancement of Lambda Chi Alpha here at the University of Illinois. 18 ASSOCIATE MEMBERS is semester we have welcomed 18 new associate members and we are excited to build upon the reputation that those before us worked so hard to create. At the moment, the active members are preparing for our upcoming philanthropy event, Watermelon Bust. Due to the hard work of our High eta, Max Stinites '16 X2184, we are anticipating one of the most successful Watermelon Bust in this chapter's recent history. Additionally, the men have been working on becoming more involved in the Greek community by participating in the all the sororities' philanthropy events, such as Alpha Omicron Pi, Alpha Xi Delta, Tri Delta, Kappa Kappa Gamma, and many others. ACADEMIC IMPROVEMENTS Not only have the men been increasingly active in our community, but our academic standing has been increasing drastically. is past year we went from having the 42nd best fraternity GPA to the 17th best. is dramatic increase clearly shows that the men at Lambda Chi Alpha are committed to their education and becoming better men. Our goals for this upcoming year are to become more active in the surrounding Champaign-Urbana area in regards to community service, as well as set the tone for the treatment of our new facility for years to come. As I approach the end of my term as High Alpha, I would like to thank the men of my chapter for giving me this opportunity. I'd also like to thank all the alumni that I have worked with and who have provided guidance. is past year has been an incredible journey and I could not imagine doing it anywhere other than Lambda Chi Alpha.
