3 Chi Zetagram O ur goals have been met and even exceeded, and our chapter house is ready for the Next 100 Years. But some tradeoffs had to be made to cover unexpected costs and increases, and we have a substantial debt now to retire. ere remain several things we had to defer to meet our budget without compromising more essential goals. Our original list had over a dozen projects, and brothers attending the dedication stepped up to provide many: • Formal study draperies and chandeliers: Brad Dickson '74 X1009 • Library furniture, custom shelving and woodwork: Jeff Wandell '62 X785 • Alumni Room furniture and assisting with custom millwork: Ken Baker '78 X1089 • Renovating front yard sign: Steve Haimbaugh '87 X1301 • Constructing bench from original satone threshold: Rick Nunemaker '67 X882 But there are more projects, and with your help we'd love to finish these the right way. Most pressing is the landscaping, but there are other important items inside as well. Here's a sample of what you can still help make happen: • Landscaping phase one ($12,000) and all six phases ($34,000) • Custom display cases/woodwork in Alumni Room $2,000 - $4,000 • Quality permanent lights (gallery, library, alumni room) $600-$2,000/room • Pool table for rec room $800-$2,000 Brother, this is your chance to put the finishing touches on your new chapter house. And remember, these donations can be made tax deductible; just ask us for details. All you need to do now is make your pledge to help and we'll take it from there. Email us at contact@ chizeta.com for more details. B rothers, our important plans to transition the Chi Zetagram and other communications to electronic distribution are moving forward. e cost of printing and mailing has skyrocketed, and is diverting resources your Alumni Association could better apply to the health and scholarship of our fraternity. Although we'll all miss seeing these in our mailbox, you'll get even more complete and timely information about your brothers and Chi Zeta in your inbox— not just cheaper, but better too! But we are missing accurate e-mail addresses for many of you, so please—take a minute to send us an email at news@ChiZeta. com. It's that easy, and will assure that you continue to be connected to your lifelong friends and fraternity. And while you're at it, let us know what's happening in your life, so we can share it with others (and share their stories with you). Send an email to news@ChiZeta.com now, while you're thinking of it, and we'll do the rest!
