Dedicated to
Healthy Aging
The key to healthy aging is a
healthy lifestyle,
so Washington Regional
offers programs at the Pat Walker Center for
Seniors, which is located on the hospital
campus, that allow older adults to optimize their
wellness and overall function. In fact, Washington
Regional is one of the few hospital systems
in the nation to dedicate an entire facility to
senior care.
What began in 2005 with the development of a
clinic to serve patients age 65 and over has
evolved into a center encompassing healthcare,
exercise, community outreach and more.
The Pat Walker Center for Seniors provides
geriatricians, geriatric nurse practitioners, case
managers, social workers, neuropsychologists,
a neurologist and nurses, all with specialized
training in the care of older adults. Our team
approach provides comprehensive primary care,
geriatric assessment, memory assessment,
functional assessment, and movement disorder
diagnosis and treatment. From comprehensive
primary care to transitional care after a
hospitalization, the entire team at the Pat Walker
Center for Seniors is dedicated to meeting the
needs of older adults.
