On Bid Day, Delta Mu welcomed 140 wonderful new members. The group is comprised of 10 upperclassmen and 130 freshmen, all with impressive accomplishments. They are UA Presidential Scholars, AP Scholars, members of National Honor Society, and IB graduates. Many were also involved in student government, the arts, and various sports teams before starting at the university. Nineteen new members are legacies and 38 have over a 4.0 GPA. We are incredibly proud of this extraordinary class, and cannot wait to see all of the amazing things they will do in the coming years. After Bid Day, we wasted no time getting the fall semester off to a great start with sisterhood events, philanthropic activities, and socials. On October 14, we hosted our annual Gameday Giveback to support St. Jude before the Homecoming game against Arkansas. We loved seeing so many alumnae at this event. Already this semester, the Chapter has attended a Birmingham Barons game and gotten manicures together. The new members have enjoyed work- ing with New Member Educator Emmie Stutts '15 and Sponsor Chairman Claire Calkins '15 to get to know their Big Sisters and the rest of the Chapter. All of us are incredibly lucky to be members of such an amazing Chapter, and we have all of our incredible alumnae to thank for their contin- ued support.
