A
nother great football fall in Tuscaloosa. And another
great DDD pledge class. To see these young women
and their excitement and pride brings such sweet memories of
wonderful Bid Days many moons ago. As much as the campus
and the houses change, the more we are reminded of the bonds
that bind us together.
The annual House Corporation meeting was held on September
10 and your new Board of Directors and officers were
elected. See the full list of Delta Mu's new board members
below. Please thank all these volunteers for the time and
energy they share to help the Delta Mu Chapter function
so well.
As we watch other chapters on campus begin building their
new houses, we are so thankful for the leadership over the
last 10 years that has put us in such a good position. Being
one of the first of the new houses allowed us to build on a choice
lot while still living in the Round House, rather than renting
"flex space." We had the advantage of more reasonable building
costs and bond money. And we've had five years of a very stable
Chapter size to pay not only the expected payments, but through
good management (and a building that actually came in under
budget!) and the generosity of our alumnae, we have paid extra
principal each year.
Thank you for your continued support that has made all of this
possible, and has allowed us to make enhancements and do
maintenance to ensure that our Tri Delta House can be a home
that makes us all proud.
