Anna Beth Zuga / Huntsville, Ala. *Legacy Tri Deltas of the 1967 Initiation Class Celebrated 50 Years of Sisterhood This Summer T his summer, the 1966 pledge class (initiated in 1967) celebrated their 50-year reunion of their initiation into Tri Delta with a reunion in Tuscaloosa. Twenty-four members of the pledge class met at Embassy Suites on the night of June 4 to begin the sentimental weekend celebration. Many of these women had not seen each other in the last 50 years, but the number of years that had passed didn't matter as they quickly caught up on each other's lives. The celebration came complete with gift bags including pledge ribbons, a copy of their pledge test, and one of the pledge booklets. Peggy Wilson Pate '67 also included a list of costs from their pledge manual, which was really eye-opening; as you can imagine, costs have changed a lot! On Saturday, after a tour of the ever-changing campus, the group met at the DDD house for a tour, which included finding their composite pictures and names on the donor wall and plaques. The afternoon concluded with the Golden Circle ceremony, which brought back many memories of pledging and initiation long ago. It was a special event to share with so many of those who had first shared our entrance into sisterhood. Wouldn't your pledge class love to plan a reunion like this?
