Carroll W. Anstaett '48 is 90 years old
and goes to the YMCA each morning. After
many years, Carroll no longer participates
in golf tournaments but he does spend each
winter at The Village in Florida. He lives in

Joseph D. Reed '50 was a member of the
U.S. Marine Corps where he earned a Silver
Star, Bronze Star, and Purple Heart. Joseph
retired as a major VSMC Reserve in 1963
and received the Admiral Souers award from
Miami University ROTC in the late 1990s.
He resides in Beaver Island, Mich., with his

Gerald A. Miller '69, Tom Smith '69,
Jim Talbott '69, Dick Rivers '67, and
their wives continue to get together at the
Indy 500 after 40 years. Gerald lives in Boca
Grande, Fla., and is president of Hogarth

James "Bill" Haywood '74 is retired
and lives in Boerne, Texas, with his wife, Lynn,
a Theta from Miami. Their daughter, Piper,
graduated from Colby College and lives in
London, and their son, Brett, is a Beta from
Purdue University and now lives in Reno,
Nevada. Bill still consults with Haywood Energy

John E. Czyzycki '87 has been married
to his wife, Alice, for 23 years. Their son, Evan,
is at the University of Michigan and their son,
Max, is in high school. John has spent some
time as an assistant lacrosse coach and has
served as treasurer of the board for the
Chinese American Service League for nine
years. John lives in Elmhurst, Ill., and golfs as
