Natural Gas Technician Assists in the repair, replacement and installation of gas utility lines, meters, outlets and regulators. Distribution/Collection Operator I Performs installations, repair and maintenance of water and sewer lines and appurtenances. Maintenance Worker II – Parks & Recreation Performs a variety of work related to repairs and maintenance of the Parks and Recreation Department including mowing; trimming; maintaining playgrounds; ball fi elds; golf course and cemeteries. Equipment Operator II – Sanitation Operates a refuse collection vehicle and collects solid waste and trash. Environmental Services Technician Collects samples, conducts chemical & bacteriological tests to ensure compliance with regulations and inspects food service establishments to review grease handling practices. High school diploma or equivalent with a valid NC Driver's license and a working knowledge of common hand and power tools, mowers, backhoe and other heavy equipment.
