Gustafson '50 retired from a 55-year architectural practice in 2009, following open-heart bypass surgery. Gus experienced a complete recovery but now has loss of vision. "Active retirement includes travel, volunteering for the hospital, and cardio rehab. My wife, Pamela, enjoys creative writing, teaching yoga, photography, and traveling," he says. Fatzinger '62 stays busy maintaining his property in Kamiah, Idaho, with his wife, Barb, and steelheading the Clearwater B-run. Keyes '64 takes pleasure in hunting, fishing, building pre- 1840 traditional firearms (limited edition of 1803 Harpers Ferry/a commemorative to the Lewis and Clark expedition), reenacting Furtrada, being a traditional firearms competitor, and staying active with his church in Blanchard, Okla. Salo '71 and his wife, Judy, spend summers in Montana and engage in a lot of camping and hunting. Terry cooks for a summer youth bow camp at Augusta, and he and Judy like renting forest service cabins in the high country. They spend winters in Arizona, where Terry has several fruit trees and takes pleasure in playing games, barbecuing, and having picnics along the Colorado River. DeVries '95 runs his own company, Devries Insurance, which specializes in group and individual health insurance products. "Our goal is not to treat people as clients, but rather as our friends," he says. Jeremy and his wife, Kori, who is a Chi Omega alumna, have two children: Cole (17), who will attend MTSU in fall 2018, and Ryan (14). They live in Billings, Mont.
