YOU AT YOUR BEST | NWADG.COM/YOUATYOURBEST JUNE - MENTAL HEALTH | SATURDAY, MAY 27, 2017 | 15 • • Health. Adult patients, who have achieved some stability but continue to need more in- tensive treatment than traditional outpatient therapy, or to prevent hospitalization, may be treated within the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) or Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP). Springwoods offers treat- ment for mood and anxiety disorders, chron- ic suicidal ideation, co-occurring disorders (psychiatric and substance-abuse disorders), personality disorders, and family/interper- sonal confl icts. The Partial Hospitalization Program provides intensive treatment for patients with mild to moderate symptoms. The pro- gram features individualized treatment plan, full day of group therapy – four groups daily, fi ve days a week, medication man- agement, with approximately one to four weeks of treatment. The PHP offers dis- charge and continued care planning from an inpatient treatment. Partial hospitalization is available from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The Intensive Outpatient Program is for patients with less serious symptoms, but who still require frequent therapy. This program can be a step-down level of care from inpatient treatment or partial hospital- ization. The IOP is a half-day program, four days a week, that provides daily group ther- apy. Intensive outpatient is available from 9 a.m. to noon, Monday through Thursday. Springwoods Behavioral Health ac- cepts referrals from the professional com- munity (doctors, hospitals, therapists, social workers, nurses, schools, courts and com- munity agencies) as well as from families. Qualifi ed assessment and referral staff perform assessments 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, at no charge. Each assess- ment is evaluated by a physician who rec- ommends the appropriate level of care for treatment. Recommendations are then dis- cussed with the patient/family to assist in making an informed decision about treat- ment. Springwoods Behavioral Health is a pro- vider for most insurance/managed care plans, as well as Medicare, and is accred- ited by the Joint Commission on Accred- itation of Healthcare Organizations (JTC) and licensed by the Arkansas Department of Health.
