This means there are an estimat- ed 43.4 million adults in the U.S. that have been diagnosed with some form of mild or serious mental illness. Springwoods Behavioral Health, of Fayetteville, is hoping to remove this stigma associated with mental health while providing quality behavioral healthcare services that patients recommend to families and friends, physicians prefer for their patients, and em- ployees are proud to provide. Springwoods Behavioral Health, locat- ed at 1955 W. Truckers Drive, is an 80 bed behavioral health facility providing comprehensive care for adolescents, adults, geriatrics and most recently a unit designed exclusively for women. The six acre campus opened in 2009 and is adjacent to a 123 acre Audubon Wild- life and Bird Sanctuary, providing a secluded and serene setting for comfort and healing. Located off Highway 112, the facility is easily accessible to residents of Northwest Arkansas and the surrounding communities. Springwoods Behavioral Health currently operates the only program in Arkansas dedicated to women's mental health – the Cen- ter for Women. The Center for Women was founded in 2013 and provides a safe and nurturing community where women of all ages offer each other hope and support as they move through life stag- es. Treatment is comprehensive and individualized with a focus on continued on page 14 Springwoods Behavioral Health Provides All of the Essentials in Mental Health Care
