10 www.DesertMessenger.com January 18, 2017 Gold show planned Feb. 10-12 New Quartzsite map now available The Quartzsite Business Chamber of Com- merce's new Business Locator map is available for sale at many of the stores around town as well as the Business Chamber offi ce and the offi ce of the Quartzsite Area Chamber and Tourism. This map is updated from the last one that Paul Winer did in 2010, with over 60 changes that had to be made and a new grid of the town drawn to get them all in! It took Paul over 100 hours to do the work, drawing all the little buildings and lettering all the names. It was a huge task, but when he got it done, it turned out to be the best one he had done. This map is a sou- venir edition for the 150th birthday of Quartzsite, and the Business Cham- ber ordered 7000 of them to be sure to have enough for this winter season. People have been asking for a new one for many years, and now it is com- ing and it sure looks awesome!! Special thanks to Paul Winer for doing such a great job for our Chamber! Once the maps are delivered, the advertisers who get the 50 free maps for putting out the mon- ey for the edge of the map to pay for the printing will be able to come to the Chamber offi ce and pick them up. Retail sales will also be available, and any member can get them to sell at wholesale prices. The maps will sell for $2.00 each and are a little bit wider and taller than the last ones to make it easier to read and to get all the extra info in. Be sure to pick up this unique one-of-a-kind Quartzsite map as a souvenir for yourself or to give to a friend or family member to show them our town--maybe they will want to visit us too!!!
