Some of the ways we work toward our goal: > Managing a database of all a rac ons, hotels, restaurants, stores and other county ameni es. This database feeds an array of websites. We work to con nually ensure the accuracy of this informa on for the commu- nity and our visitors. > Working with the travel and trade media. We aim to expose travelers and mee ng and tournament planners to Cumberland County and its assets for a visit, mee ng or event. The FACVB is the only Cumberland County agency that ac vely works to secure regional, state and na onal publicity for Cumberland County's Tourism assets. > Submi ng tourism friendly events to not only the FACVB website but also to VisitNC, 4 local media websites and 10 other print and online publica ons. > Ensuring we communicate rou nely through social channels. The FACVB is current- ly ac ve on Facebook (two profiles), Twi er, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn and Youtube. We also keep a photo album of happenings in Flickr. COMMUNITY BLOG In July of this year, the Communica ons De- partment added a community blog to its list of endeavors to communicate the assets of the community. Communica ons Coordinator Jenny Bell blogs twice a week on www.GoFaye eville.com. GoFaye eville.com was developed to give visi- tors and locals informa on on the wonderful things to see and do in the greater Faye eville area of North Carolina. On the blog you find frequent blog posts on places to shop, muse- ums to explore, fes vals to a end, outdoor adventures to plan and much more.
