FA R M H O U S E F R AT E R N I T Y * WA S H I N G T O N S TAT E U N I V E R S I T Y * FA L L 2 0 1 6 G reetings, FarmHouse brothers and friends. I have had the great honor of leading the alumni association as president for this past biennium. e last two years have been busy for the board and all the brothers who have helped us. I am proud to say the board has achieved many of its goals set back in 2014, and we continue our mission of Building Men. One of our biggest aims was to re-engage our alumni. Board member Eric Hausken '98 has been working to inform alumni that FarmHouse is a life- long brotherhood and not just a college experience. Several of the photo- graphs in this newsletter come from summer alumni events hosted around the state. Sporting events, camping trips, and barbecues were just some of the gatherings our alumni attended. If you missed out on any of the events last summer, there are sure to be more this summer. I also want to thank those brothers who stopped by the house on Home- coming weekend. We ensured a shorter association board meeting, and a lot was accomplished in the shorter time. We discussed ways the board could further help the chapter and planned for the next biennium. At the end of the meeting, we elected three board positions and two foundation positions. It is an honor for me to an- nounce your new association board of directors. I will be passing the president's gavel to Dave Soler '02. Jeremy Vander Vegt '00 has taken over the secretary position, and Eric Hausken has retained his po- sition as a member-at-large. Associate Member Leo Cas- tellano '10 has taken over as chairman of the foundation, and Kyle Bangs '09 has re- tained his position as co-chair- man to the foundation. I am confident this new board will live our creed as Builder of Men. Each of these men brings a unique set of skills, and I know they will build upon the work of their predecessors.
