H omecoming weekend is one of the most anticipated events of the fall at SMU. This year was even more special because the Alpha Upsilon Chapter celebrated 90 years of "Doing Good" at SMU. In honor of that milestone, Chef Craig Gibson and his staff presented a delicious brunch for collegians, alumnae, and their families. In addition to the lovely brunch, there were anchor cookie party favors for everyone and two large cakes to commemorate Alpha Upsilon's 90th anniversary. More than 150 alumnae kicked off the Homecoming festivities featuring the traditional parade and tailgating on the Boulevard. The football game between the Mustangs and the Memphis Tigers ended in a loss for SMU, but everyone had fun reconnecting and cheering on SMU at Homecoming. Many alumnae were visiting the new chapter house for the first time and there were rave reviews from all. The exterior of the house was decked out for fall with giant pumpkins and fall mums. Inside the house, the colors and the furnishings were fresh and inviting, a perfect blend of timeless tradition and contemporary style. Alumnae enjoyed catching up with sisters, checking out the composites and scrapbooks, and visiting the upstairs resident rooms and spacious chapter room. Donors to the capital campaign enjoyed seeing their commemorative bricks and chapter room chairs. We are so grateful to all alumnae and friends who participated in the capital campaign for Alpha Upsilon Chapter. Our collegians are proud of their house and feel fortunate to have the support of so many Alpha Upsilon alumnae. Stop by the chapter house anytime you're in the Dallas area! We would love to welcome you home. Alumnae Reconnect with Alpha Upsilon at Homecoming Celebration Pledge sisters Traci Cosgrove Mundwiller '88 and Maria Favor Argote '88.
