Eleven Eleven Report Gamma Tau Chapter of Delta Tau Delta university of kansas n fall 2016 I t's been a busy, but exciting, fall semester for Gamma Tau. In August, our undergraduate Brothers returned to school with the old section bathroom remodeled, plus new flooring, and a fresh coat of paint throughout the entire facility. This helped them to recruit a strong new pledge class of 26 men, which was outstanding and above their recruitment goals. ConstruCtion Continues Over this summer the house corporation, led by President Dave Lady '80, completed more than $70,000 worth of work to the Shelter. Much like your own home, our house at 1111 W. 11th Street continually needs maintenance. Finishing off the remodel of the old section bathroom was a goal that the house corporation had been planning for some time now, and I am so thankful for the support of the 114 alumni that donated to our Gamma Tau: The Next 100 Years campaign, which made that project, as well as many other projects over the last few years, possible. Campaign to enD may 31 We have been working toward our $1.1 million fundraising goal for the Gamma Tau: The Next 100 Years campaign for several years now, and it is time for it to come to a close. The campaign will officially end may 31. This means there are just a few months left to make your commitment and be part of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. your support stiLL neCessary Even though larger projects at the Shelter have been completed, it is imperative now, more than ever before, that we pay down the debt we've incurred as part of these projects as quickly as possible. For those of you who have given generously, I sincerely thank you. You have made this possible. If you are able, please consider extending your pledge another year or making an additional contribution. For those of you who have not given, we appreciate any amount you feel you can give toward this massive project. Every dollar counts to help us complete our minimum fundraising goal of $1.1 million. Each and every dollar raised over that amount will go toward debt incurred from the project. We are just $52,133 away from meeting that goal—and we want to reach that before the end of the 2016-17 school year! Time is almost up in helping out with this campaign. All donors pledging at least $2,500 will see their names on a plaque permanently displayed in the updated Shelter. Remember, we have a five-year pledge program to stretch your gift to its full potential and this is a method of payment that many Delta Tau Delta Brothers have signed on for. As you plan for your end-of-year donations, please don't forget about Gamma Tau. I have had the pleasure of serving as campaign chairman over the past few years, and again thank every donor for their financial support. If you haven't been by the Shelter lately to see your dollars at work, please be sure to stop by any time you are in Lawrence. rock Chalk!
