THE TAXI NEWS PAGE 3 W ork Weekend this year was Saturday, July 23, and Sunday, July 24. We made several updates as well as tackled some odds-and-ends projects that were needed at the chapter house. Several alumni and a few actives volunteered their time for the betterment of the chapter house. Projects were assigned and everyone worked hard to get them done on time. Most projects were completed on Saturday; however, some brothers came back on Sunday to help wrap things up. Below is a list of completed projects (minor projects not included): R Painted the newly created benches out front R Cleaned up the landscaping as well as redid the mulch and borders out front and on the side of the house R Power washed the bricks R Re-caulked all ground floor windows R Replaced the kitchen faucet R Converted bathroom lights to LED R Fixed stalls in the shower room as well as added light sensors R Fixed a broken Exit sign in the downstairs hallway R Patched up the chapter room ceiling Alumni present for Work Weekend were Sean Fagan '05, Craig Janus '00, James Jarvis '05, Stephen Petrany '04, John Kiolbasa '00, and Derek Hupfer '99; undergraduates who assisted were Max Rydell '17, Trent Hootman '16, Clay Darrow '18, Chris Leonard '18, Andrew Wiersema '17, Mark O'Neal '17, and Matt Mathius '17. Thank you to all the brothers who volunteered their time to make improvements at the chapter house. several ChapTer house ImprovemenTs made durInG Work Weekend Stephen Petrany '04 and Clay Darrow '18 paint the benches outside the chapter house.
