iii iii iii iii iii iii iii iii y name is Cindy Gates Wood '77, and after a hiatus, I am back serving as the Affiliated House Corporation president. Christy Woltzen Ehrenrich '74 is still on the board, serving as vice president. ChaptEr housE ImprovEmEnts I invite you to stop by the house any time to check out the recent remodel by Pizzazz Interiors of St. Louis and our own Carol michener temple '70. In order to stay competitive with all the sorority houses, Carol toured some sorority remodels this summer and came home determined to make Alpha Delta look just as good. The first floor received a makeover, which also included the "ugly room" on the second floor. Along with the cosmetic updates, we have updated the internet to fiber optics. We also updated our kitchen and made sure that the new equipment could be moved to a new kitchen if we ever move the kitchen to the main floor. When you stop by to check out the updates to the house, be sure to sign the guest book on the desk in the foyer. It's always fun to see who stopped by and the women of 808 would be happy to take you on a tour of the house. mom KIm updatE As some of you may or may not know, our housemother, Kim Berry, had hip replacement surgery soon after school was out in May. After surgery, she developed an infection that led to a second surgery. After that surgery, Kim was on the road to recovery. She has since healed and was ready to welcome the women of 808 with her cheerful smile on August 3 and 4. Kim appreciated all the love, prayers, and support she received from the Gamma Phi Beta family throughout the whole process! rECruItmEnt at 808 rIChmond Once again, with the excellent undergraduate executive board and our faithful recruitment advisor, Lori hofsess Whitesides '07, Alpha Delta has come out shining during recruitment week. Chapter President ally Wallenta '14 and her team have done a wonderful job. a LooK to thE FuturE It seems to be a trend in the Greek system at Mizzou to tear down and rebuild your chapter house. Delta Gamma and Zeta Tau Alpha were the two latest sorority houses that were torn down as soon as graduation was completed in May 2016. Alpha Delta Pi and Delta Delta Delta have also recently added on to their chapter houses. At Alpha Delta we are contemplating the decision to tear down and rebuild or to add on. One of our biggest issues is not having sufficient space in the house for chapter. There is no place suitable to house upwards of 300 women to conduct chapter meetings, Hilites G a m m a P h i B e t a a t t h e U n i v e r s i t y o f m i s s o U r i alpha Delta Fall 2016 Securing the Future Success of Alpha Delta Affiliated House Corporation Board Sponsors Undergraduate Scholarship Dinner (Continued on page 3) Numerous renovations were made to the chapter house this summer.
