Click "Donate Now" on our website, kufiji.org, to add your name to our list of generous donors! We Need You! Ask not what Pi Deuteron can do for you— ask what you can do for Pi Deuteron. T o update you on the progress of our capital campaign, we have raised more than $2.49 million toward our $3.5 million goal. The first and fourth floors of the Chapter House are totally renovated and they look superb. Nearly 200 Graduate Brothers, Undergraduate Brothers, friends and parents have made pledges to the Mighty Proud campaign. That's outstanding, but is still only about 15% par- ticipation from Graduate Brothers. We need broad participation to get this done. Today is the day. This is the day that you can make a pledge to Pi Deuteron. Be a part of this historic initiative and make sure you are a part of this renovation and addition project. A pledge of $2,500 or more can secure your name on our donor plaque to be prominently displayed once the capital campaign has come to a close. That is just $500 per year for five years, or less than $42 per month. Use the enclosed pledge form and envelope to make your pledge today. We also have a convenient online giving form if you wish to make your pledge that way. Visit our website, www.kufiji.org, to make a pledge online by clicking the "Donate Now" button located on the homepage or the Giving Back page. Thank you for your support—we look forward to adding your name to our donor list! Fraternally, Kevin F. Mitchelson '79 Campaign Co-Chairman kmitchelson@wm-law.com Dan H. Jack Clevenger '68 (Continued from page 1) so during e-mail correspondence between each other, Jack and other Fijis realized they had so many amazing memories from the house that it was a great opportunity to give back. So Jack and his brother, Tom, chose to make a gift together in the hopes of keeping the Chapter competitive and helping young men enjoy their college career as they did. Jack is adamant about furthering the future of Pi Deuteron. A few years back, he spoke at Pig Dinner and relayed to the Chapter that in order to be successful after college, you have to do something you love. "If you enjoy what you do, it's a career, not a job. Anymore, no body seems to know what they want to do compared to when I was in college. Hope- fully, everyone figures out what they want to do and focus on that and go get it!" Another way Jack has given back to Pi Deu- teron is by starting a scholarship in memory of a pledge Brother who passed away, David Morris '68. David was a legacy like Jack, and legacies had a tendency to get razzed by older Brothers. "David was a wonderful guy and went on to work for Citi Bank. After he passed away, I came up with the idea of start- ing a scholarship in his name. The $25,000 award honors a student who chooses to study abroad for a semester. Over the years, I think that qualifier has changed a bit, but I'm very proud to help get that going." Jack and his wife, Candy, have been mar- ried for 46 years. They have two daughters and five grandchildren. Jack and Candy live in Denver, but are hoping to move back to the Kansas City area soon. After working 42 years as a stock broker, Jack retired from Morgan Stanley in 2012. You can contact Jack at jclev1946@gmail.com.
