July 6th – 8th SAC Last Chance Swim Meet Over 600 swimmers from across the State will compete in this the last week to qualify for the State and Regional Swim Meets. July 19th – 22nd Tar Heel Leagues, Inc. Boys Junior & Coach Pitch State Championships 24 teams from across North Carolina will be in Shelby seeking State Championships in 2 age divisions. 8 Junior Tar Heel teams and 16 Coach Pitch teams will vie for the Championships. July 28th Alpha Sigma Omega Alpha Theta Delta Step Dance Competi- tion Step Dance Teams will compete for trophies and awards in this Scholarship Fund Raiser held in the Shelby City Park Gymna- sium. The event is from 6:00PM til 9:30PM. UPCOMING EVENTS August 2nd Luau Night at the Aquatics Center 7:30 – 9:30pm rst 50 receive a Hawaiian Leis. August 6th – August 31st Flag, Pee Wee & Midget Football Registration opens Football registration for ages 5 thru 12 will be held Monday thru Friday in the City Park Of ce 8:30AM until 5:30PM each day. Birth Certi cates and a parent must be present to register. August 6th – August 17th Girl's Fall Softball Registration Registration for girls softball ages 6 thru 14 will be held in the City Park Of ce Monday thru Friday from 8:30am TIL 5:30pm. Ages are as of January 1st 2013. August 16th Team Night at the Aquatics Center Support your favorite team during Family Swim Night 7:30 – 9:30pm. September 13th Methodist Laity Rally Methodist from our region converge at the Shelby City Park for their Annual Laity Rally. October 25th – 27th Talking Pumpkin and Spooky Train The Talking Pumpkin and the Spooky Train will return to the Car- rousel and Rotary for 3 nights of fun and thrills. December 22nd A Christmas Heart A moving Christian Play will be presented in the Shelby Parks & Recreation Gym on Saturday, December 22nd. He is in charge of all programs and building rentals. He has been married to Julie Bridges Fisher For 27 years and he enjoys spending time with her and their pet "Zoe".
