The week included horseback riding, beekeeping lessons, milking, gathering eggs and doing blogs, They also learned how to make soap, lip balm, cheese, laundry detergent and salve. Each girl got to tend to her own goat for the week and the finale was a goat show. It was a week of adventure and learning on the farm and will be remembered by these special girls all their lives. Carol Whisnant Introduced As New Executive Director At Shelby's Carillon Assisted Living On Friday, June 29th, a special reception was held to honor and introduce the new Executive Director of Shelby's Carillon Assisted Living. Carol Whisnant, a Cleveland County native, was very excited to be selected as the new leader of Carillon's beautiful facil- ity. Andrews Pastor's Alliance Meets At Hospice The Pastor's Alliance is a collec- tion of women pastors and women in pastoral roles who come together once a month from all denominations in Cleveland County. They gather to offer suggestions and share ideas to help the community. This group met on June 14th at the Hospice of Cleveland County Administration Building, 851 Wendover Heights Drive in Shelby. Sharon Martin, Director of Community Outreach hosted the meeting. The next meeting will be held on Thursday, July 12th at Roberts Tabernacle AMEZ Church.
