In September last year, QPD was awarded two traf- fic safety grants totaling $10,138 from the Arizona Governor's Office of Highway Safety (GOHS). The grant funds have and will be used by QPD to en- hance traffic enforcement, detect impaired drivers, reduce traffic accidents, purchase bicycle safety equipment and educate the public to promote traf- fic safety in the Quartzsite Community.
