I would say more people enjoy the outdoors on this day than any other. And I would also say that barbecue pits all over America will be responsible for a little global warming on that day. It is also an important day in the life of our coun- try. It reminds us of our freedom and freedoms. It reminds us of those who fought for this freedom in the past and those who are keeping it now in places like Afghanistan and Iraq. It seems that we all struggle with what freedom means within our own borders. How much freedom do we really have and how much can we give those who want to live here. The Lady in the har- bor of New York invites "all your huddled masses yearning for freedom to come to this land of America." And all are invited, and all may come. But in coming to our land they must remember that this is our home. And when you're in someone else's home, you respect and abide by their rules. Let me illustrate. I live in Harrogate, Tennessee, on Iris Drive. You are welcome to come to my house any time, no matter what color, nationality, or religion you may be. But when you come into my house you fall under my rules. We don't smoke in my house. We don't cuss in my house. We don't watch certain T.V. programs in my house. And in my house we are going to 1975 KONA SPEED 18' BOAT with 150 Mercury & trailer, ask- ing $4500. Also. 2 motors, 115 & 135. 704-473-1514. NA SPEED 18 BOATS BOATS Aiming Outdoorsmen Toward Christ worship the God of the Bible. Now these rules are not to hinder your freedoms; but you see, you have come into my house. America is also my house. It is the house of Americans. And there are some things that others need to know when they come here, such as the fact that we are a nation founded on Christian prin- ciples. In fact, it was one of our found- ing fathers, Patrick Henry, who said, "It cannot be emphasized to strongly or too often that this great nation was founded, not by religionists, but by Christians, not on religions, but on the gospel of Jesus Christ." So when others come into this big house of America, at times they are going to feel uncomfortable, because in our house… We will pledge one nation Under God. Our money will say In God we Trust. Our congress will open in prayer We will celebrate the birth and resur- rection of Jesus Christ. And we do all of these in the language of our native tongue. Again, this in no way is meant to take away the freedom of others, but they have come into our house. And if we don't guard our house, after a while, it will become someone else's. www.outdoortruths.org 2006 20' KIRKLAND BOAT, 115HP 4 stroke Honda motor, center console w/cooler seat, 2 live wells. The big fishing tackle us KID STUFF adults use can be difficult for kids to use. Ultralight push- button or spin casting are ideal and much more durable than those cute little cheap combos. These downsized rigs are easy for small kids to hold and are relatively tangle free. Best of all, they make even a small sunfish feel like a whopper. Starting a child right means using decent, functional tackle. Anything less performs poorly and invites discouragement. Find an ultralight combo with a soft tip, which means easy casting, and a reel that handles 4-pound test line well and has a smooth drag. The price is usually around $30 which isn't too bad either. Most important from the youngsters view is that it works, it fits, and it's fun. Now go find a place where they can catch a mess of perch or bullhead catfish and you'll have a kid hooked on fishing.
