By Jini (Huggy) Dill Volunteers are "giving" people, not just giving their spare time a rest. They want to make their time count. They are caring, understanding and DO want to make a difference. They gain self assurance and self satisfaction by realizing their time spent in volunteering does make a difference. Many volunteer hours are neces- sary in our town. Both mental and manual types. New thoughts and new ideas keep us going better and stronger. Manual or physical help enables the ideas to come into play. When people say I CAN'T...each should take the "T" off of the can't and realize that they now "CAN" do anything. Yes, I am a volunteer. For me that is an honor and a privilege. My request is that each of us should be aware of what a volunteer can gain by giving. Please consider and volunteer. Thanks, and lots of hugs!
