Family Fun & Fire- works is being planned for Monday, July 4th at the Town Park Pavilion. Once again the community will be gathering to celebrate Inde- pendence Day. Quartzsite Tran- sit, newly named The Camel Ex- press, (by popular vote) will be providing transportation to the activities. Please call Town Hall at 928-927-4333 by July 1st to make reservations for transportation. VFW Post 769 held their an- nual Memorial Day Ceremony Monday, May 30. Members of the Women's Auxiliary placed wreaths and flags each of the graves. Dust 'N Denim 4-H mem- bers helped to distribute the remembrance poppy, which has been used since 1921 to commemorate military per- sonnel who have died in war, and represents a common or field poppy, Mark Church played Taps on the Native American flute at the end of the ceremony. Residents look forward to this annual event to honor those who lost their lives in service to the nation.
