Quilters 1-4 30 2 31 3 1 IT'S A GOOD LIFE IT'S A GOOD LIFE Men's Day Celebration The Council on Aging/Neal Senior Center will be sponsoring a Men's Day Celebration to honor all men on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 @ 11:30 a.m. The event will consist of lunch, door prizes, and special entertainment. The cost of lunch is $5.50 for seniors and $6.00 for others. Please bring a friend, coworker, neighbor, your boss, family mem- ber or members of your church to this special event as we celebrate manhood. Spouses and ladies are also welcome to attend. Entertainment will be provided during lunch. Respite Group Did you know approximately 80% of the care of older adults is provided within the home by family members? Group respite programs are intended to provide temporary relieve to family members and other primary caregivers. Group respite meets on Thursdays from 9am-12:30pm at the Council on Aging/Neal Senior Center. The program offers participants unique opportunities for socialization and a variety of activities not available to them at home. If you or someone you know could use this service and meets the qualifications, please call Kathy Cobb at 704-482-3488 for more details on this service. There are a few people that achieve, what we find is very remarkable. We would like to recognize those volunteers who have been with the Senior Center for over 20 Years. Remember, getting immediate medical attention for stroke is crucial to preventing disability and death, so DON'T DELAY—DIAL 9-1-1.
