Alumni news George W. Manion '50 says, "I enjoy reading The Hoop of Steel and I offer my congratulations to Kansas Beta members for their outstanding achievements over the years. Keep up the good work!" Bill and his wife, Bonnie, live in Longmont, Colo. Donald M. Reinhardt '50 has been retired for the last 10 years and lives in Mission, Texas. Clark '52 lives in Hays, Kan., and reports that he is "doing as well as could be expected at the age of 91." Robert's two granddaughters, Lara and Meredith, are students at KSU and four of his children are KSU graduates. Duane M. Stoskopf '55 works part time at the Kendall State Bank in Valley Falls, Kan. He and his wife, Joann, take pleasure in spending winters in Scottsdale, Ariz., golfing, and eating at restaurants. Wayne L. Krehbiel '56 is the managing partner in Krehbiel and Associates, LLC, which provides packing solutions and disposable products to the foodservice, janitorial supply, and healthcare industries. Wayne is also the president of Orion Petro Corporation, an oil and gas company. He and his wife, Patti, live in Mount Vernon, Ill., and have five children: Diane, Duane, Dawn, Julie, and Jill. Adrian J. Scribante '56 enjoys supporting the Kansas Beta leadership program and is happy to hear that the Chapter is thriving. Adrian and his wife, Sunny, have six children and live in Sanibel, Fla. Bates '02 lives in Olathe, Kan., and has enjoyed working as an applications system analyst for ScriptPro, a technology- based company that offers over 200 pharmacy automation and management system products. E-mail: derrickbates@gmail.com Kansas Beta members celebrate Family Day and Parent's Weekend outside the Chapter House. Members Host Successful Fall Events P arent's Weekend last September was well attended by active members and their parents, which included a Wildcat victory against Louisiana Tech and a delicious barbecue lunch. On October 3, Kansas Beta hosted its annual Dad's Weekend with a fun-filled day of golf, football, and dinner that evening. Last fall, undergraduates assessed the need for a new lawn mower for the Chapter House. Any donations toward securing this item will benefit the Chapter greatly. Our annual Mom's Weekend and basket auction will be on Saturday, April 9. More information will be available as we get closer to this event.
