A celebration of his life was held at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home, Greensboro, NC. Mr. Allred was preceded in death by his parents, Lacy and Mary Allred; and broth- ers, Jimmy and Jerry Allred. LUKAS THOMPSON GOODWIN Infant Lukas Thompson Goodwin was ushered into the presence of the Lord on February 18, 2016 by a host of angels. A private memo- rial service will be held at a later date. GARY GENE PATTERSON Mr. Gary Gene Patterson, age 77, of Blacksburg, SC, passed away on February 20, 2016. Graveside servic- es were held at Clingman Memorial Gardens. Mr. Patterson served our country in the U.S. Navy. He was preced- ed in death by his parents, Richard Bryant Patterson and Gertrude Wisher Patterson; his broth- er, Tony Patterson, and two sisters, Linda P. Fowler and Patsy P. Greene. Mr. Patterson is survived by two nephews, Chris Patterson of Blacksburg and Brandon Fowler of Gaffney, SC and two nieces, Paige Dixon of Spartanburg, SC and Stephanie Martin of Gaffney, SC. Mr. Sims served our country in the U.S. Marines in World War II on the beaches of Iwo Jima and with the occupa- tion forces in Japan after the war, and later with the US Army during the Korean War.
