Main St. Quartzsite Open Tues. thru Sat. 9-3 928-927-4223 First of all, from the bottom of our hearts, the board, the staff and the Steven Parkerson Family would like to thank everyone involved in making the Pancake Breakfast the success that it was. So many people donated generously! To mention a few names, Kool Kovers, Road Run- ner Market, The General Store, The VFW, Dollar General, The Stage Coach, Pilot, Chevron, The Eat- ery, Quartzsite Senior Citizens Inc, KBUX Radio, The Salome Restau- rant, The Desert Messenger, The Parker Pioneer and the Quartzsite Times. If we missed anyone we do sincerely want to express our grati- tude! Everything came together in an amazing way! Every staff mem- ber was there to help, spouses, board members attended, fire ca- dets from Arizona Western Col- lege as well as their instructors also pitched in. Employees also did a ton of planning and organizing prior to the event, which was largely respon- sible for the positive outcome. We served from 8:00am to 12:00pm steadily. We estimate that as many as 500 people were served, not including all of the volunteers! That is a lot of pancakes! So again huge, huge thanks to the commu- nity and all of the people who came out to help one of our firefighters in his time of need. All of us know Steven would rather have been here serving others, giving Steven Parkerson fundraiser update his time to make a difference, how- ever he is working hard and mak- ing great gains as he fights the good fight during his healing process. He is scheduled to be transferred to an acute rehab facility Wednesday the third of February, where he will continue to work hard every day to once again join us in serving the people of La Paz County. Please keep the prayers and good will flowing. The team work, love and generosity that was witnessed on Sunday the 31st of January was nothing short of miraculous. It proves that community is still alive and well in America! We have never seen so much support, and I think I can speak for Steven and tell you that your well wishes love and generosity have been nothing short of humbling and incredible! On behalf of Steven and the rest of us thanks again! Please keep an eye out for the fly- ers about the upcoming poker run in the Salome area on the 27th of this month starting at 9:00 am at the Lion's Club. The QIA in Quartzsite will be hosting a variety show on Steven's behalf the evening of the 23rd of February. #STEVENSTRONG Thanks for all you do!
